Quem Somos

The companies underlying the creation of PIXYS – GEOSYSTEMS, GEOIDE and IN SOLIS, are companies with a vast experience in international markets, where they have local establishments operating for many years which is a result of their internationalization policies and strategies.

GEOIDE began its approach to international markets in July 1999, through its participation in the construction of the Major Interceptor of Domestic Sewage in Agadir, Morocco, where it provided services to the Spanish company ESPINA – Obras Hidráulicas, S.A for a year and a half. Later, in 2003, GEOIDE began operating in Cape Verde, more specifically in the rehabilitation of a road with the extension of 20 km, a work that lasted 18 months. Also in 2003, as a result of the business connection it already had with the Spanish company DRAGADOS in Portugal, GEOIDE was invited to participate in the construction of the Fene/Ferrol highway in Galicia, a work with an extension of over 20kms.

These three experiences encouraged GEOIDE to define a strategy of internationalization, not only based on occasional contracts, but rather on the setting up of stable facilities in many countries (branches), such as in Algeria and Ireland. In the case of Algeria, GEOIDE has been present in that market since March 2006, where it participated and is currently participating in multiple large projects, in the areas of road infrastructures, streetcars, water supply, etc. With regard to Ireland, GEOIDE has had a branch in this country since mid-2008, and its main area of work has privileged surveying services related to the highways construction.

IN SOLIS invested in many markets, particularly in the Maghreb countries, with special emphasis on Morocco. The entrance into this market was practically simultaneous with the setting up of the Moroccan branch. IN SOLIS began its activity in Morocco by participating in the major highway project connecting Marrakech and Agadir (beginning of 2008), with an extension of over 300km, and in which many Portuguese construction companies participated. IN SOLIS first activity in this project was the construction of a tunnel, more specifically The Zaouiat Ait Mellal Road Tunnel, south of Marrakech, which used explosives as its excavation method. This work involved construction companies from various parts of the world, from China to Austria, passing through Turkey, Portugal, Spain, and also Morocco, as expected.

With this experience that led to a better knowledge of the Moroccan market, IN SOLIS moved up geographically, gaining positions in other markets, namely in Casablanca (widening of the highway between Casablanca and Rabat), Tangier (also highways) and many other small and medium-sized works included in the implementation and improvement of the sport infrastructures program, through the construction of new athletic tracks, football fields, expansion and upgrading of stadiums, etc.

In the beginning of the year 2010, in January, IN SOLIS took another step towards its internationalization, focusing also on the Libyan market, which appeared to be an open market and with opportunities for many and diversified service companies, as in the case of IN SOLIS. Libia indicated to its investors among others, its capacity for market expansion, liquidity of capital and labor for many years. The range of construction companies found by IN SOLIS when it arrived in the Libyan market was impressive, due to their dimension and their ability to execute major works.

The works in which IN SOLIS was involved, until the beginning of 2011 - the date of the events that led to the fall of the regime and that led to the withdrawal of all these companies, including IN SOLIS in mid-February 2011- were mainly great urban renovation works, with particular emphasis on two major contracts (lots with 1200ha. and 1500ha., both in Tripoli) with deep intervention in densely populated areas. The work consisted of a deep intervention in the infra-structures, namely in the refurbishment of domestic and rainwater sewage,  drinkable water supply network, electricity and telephone networks, combined with the reorganization of the road infrastructures, accessibilities, etc. Currently, IN SOLIS is in the Cameroon on a contract for the execution of a 80 km road between Mgaoundéré and Mbéré.
